NEXT STEPS

To help it really sink in, read the following article titled “How Should a ‘Sustainable Corporation’ Account for Natural Capital?” The article is by Professor Richard Barker of Oxford University, mentioned in the lecture, and one of his colleagues. It focuses on business and finance, but it displays the interdisciplinary approach to climate action (holistic) regardless of your particular context. Also, read “Climate Hope Is Everywhere That You Are” to see some of the tremendous victories we have achieved for people and plant that give us hope and excitement for the future.

After reading, open the notes app on your phone and answer the following questions:

Write your own climate story. It should be one page long, and it should include elements learned throughout this course. Be sure to detail why you are passionate about climate action and what you are encouraging readers to do in response to hearing your story. After writing your climate story, post it on LinkedIn or Facebook to start a public conversation about climate action.
